Pip is designed with your privacy in mind. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights.
Pip collects minimal data necessary to operate. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal identifiers unless you contact us directly for support.
By default, all health data — including your trackers and log entries — is stored locally on your device and never uploaded to our servers. Certain optional features, such as AI Insights, may send a summary of your data to third-party services as described below. You remain in control of whether these features are active. If you delete the app, your local data is deleted with it.
If you unlock the AI Insights feature, a summary of your daily log data — including tracker names, numeric values, and up to 60 characters of any notes you have entered — is sent to Groq, a third-party AI service, to generate your insights. You will be asked to consent before this data is sent for the first time. No personal identifiers are included in these requests. Groq's privacy policy governs their handling of this data.
We collect anonymous app usage events via PostHog to understand how the app is used and to improve it. These events include actions such as opening screens, tapping buttons, and logging a tracker. When you log a tracker, its name is included in the event. Tracker names may be health-related terms you have chosen, such as "Pain," "Anxiety," or "Medication."
Crash reports are collected via Sentry to help us identify and fix bugs. Crash reports may include device type, OS version, and a stack trace — they do not include your health data.
